CUSCS Fashion Show 2012

香港中文大學專業進修學院
時裝設計及產品開發高級文憑課程畢業時裝秀
The CUSCS FAshion Show 2012 of
Higher Diploma Programme in Fashion Design and Product Development

First and foremost, thanks for my friend TY's invitation, who is also one of the designers from the show.

Various styles like sweet, fairy, funky, classic, edgy are being included.
different materials, patterns and lining are being used to create students' collections.
Although some of the students' tailored skill is not mature yet, but creativity is foreseeable.

Financial and business industry have always prevailed in Hong Kong while others like culture, creativity have been neglected and limited since we were a little kid. However, it is not the end of those students as they are passionate about fashion, wanting to spread their own message out instead of being limited by the society.

I really appreciate what they have created and brought the new energy and hope to the fashion world.
Without being funded ,they brainstorm; they find the cloths and materials; they made the pieces in a really short of time.

Sad enough to mention that there is only one Institute, which is PolyU, to have a Fashion-related Bachelor and Master Degree. Hong Kong Design Institute which is under VTC also would like their students to think more and dream more.

No matter what ways, more opportunities are significant for those enthusiastic dream-seekers so please do not hesitate to sponsor and help them.

(From top to bottom)
Champion and JeanWest Creativity Award: Wong Yuk Ki, Max "Bio Mutation"
1st Runner up:Tsang Nga Hei, Grayer "Appetence"
2nd Runner up: Cheung Chui Man, Tracey "The Establishment Soul"

While Max's "Bio Mutation" used different materials, like feather, leather and studs to pull off his pieces, Grayer's pieces is my cup of tea as the pattern on them are stunning.

Credits for Pamela Choi Po Kei's "Consolidation", those pieces are super wearable. Navy Blue is on trend right now. I would love to wear them and walk down the street.

Again, thanks for TY:) Super proud for your hard work and determination.

What I've Got...

The period that I disappeared from the blogger world, I have discovered (indeed bought them already) some fashion goods. First thing first, two bags: Celiné Phantom Black and the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Savannah Novelty Bag in Black.

I've finnnaaaally got the IT Bag. Because of the terribly hot burning summer and the really HEAVY weighted black leather, I cannot carry it on the street no matter I was shopping or hanging out in the street. It's just so big! Since I am very easy to get sweated, I am longing for the Fall/Winter season to show off my bag.
Rebecca Minkoff Mini Savannah Novelty Bag

OK, back to my Rebecca Minkoff Bag, I chose a BLACK one. As the M.A.C. (a.k.a. Morning After Clutch)is a hit, being hang around numerous Hollywood stars and YouTube gurus, I gave up and picked the Savannah. However, thanks to those gurus, I literally see different RB bag showing up in their videos, LOL. The quality black cow leather, adjustable straps, numerous strings and the centered turquoise stone are just perfect for me. The only thing is that I would like to complain is the size. Since I bought it online, I have measured the size and fooled by those pictures. The main reason is that I want a leather bag that can put all my things (including a mini water bottle, a wallet, tissue paper, keys, a pocket sized schedule, a jacket in case I feel cold and those malls air conditioning is just so windy, my phone, a book in case I get bored) in it but not so huge like my Celiné Phantom. Now I am always trying to persuade myself "This is a good deal!" (based on the good quality, design and mark-down price )since I have found something super suitable to be names as "a good deal".

P.S. I've got some Winter pieces as well.
Hey! Dude! It's SUMMER time, why you buy something that you are not going to wear right now but three or five months after? as Hong Kong's weather really counts on the climate change.
Wanna know why? Stay tuned then.

After a long hiatus, Year 1 school life has been rounded up. I have dealt with tones of issues in the previous period and have finally made up my mind. Finally, It's time for my blog to grow and bloom :)
Feel free to comment. I am still a little fashion toddler.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

Recently, the weather changes so much. From 27 °C to 11°C, I just don't know that this is scientifically proved as well and yes, it's called "Seasonal Affective Disorder" or SAD in a short form. In those ever-changing days, you are just not in a good mood to go through your day. From work to home, or even sleeping in your bed, you feel sweaty and stuffy and... You know what I'm saying.
It is believed that fashion bloggers tend to wear chic everyday everywhere every time. However, just imagine you were sick, then how could you possibly get up and dress yourself so fashionable to see your Dr. ? Of course not! and it applies on me as well. So, "You are what you wear" is definitely right!
